Driving the No. 11 KVSH Racing Mistic E-Cigs Circle K Chevrolet, Sebastien Bourdais held off Takuma Sato for victory in the wet and wild Race 2 of the Chevrolet Dual in Detroit. The 2015 Chevrolet Dual In Detroit presented by Quicken Loans was Sebastien Bourdais’ 139th Verizon IndyCar Series start, 26th with KVSH Racing and seventh at Detroit. Bourdais led 11 laps last weekend, giving him 14 laps led for the season (led laps in three races) and he is now contesting his 10th Verizon IndyCar Series season (Champ Car, 5: IndyCar, 5. Drove one IndyCar event in 2005, the Indy 500).

“Obviously, after getting everything wrong yesterday it is an awesome feeling coming out on top today. Yesterday we couldn’t do anything right, we were always on the wrong side of the fence. Today everything went our way. The Mistic E-Cigs crew had flawless pit stops. We had a great strategy and we made the fuel mileage we needed to. It was one of those days where everything went our way. To win here in Detroit, in Chevy’s hometown, is pretty special. Hopefully this is just the start and we can get a couple more wins for the team and our sponsors, Mistic E-Cigs, Hydroxycut, Circle K, Plantroncis, GEICO, everyone. ”

Bourdais has finished in the top-10 in five of the first eight races of the 2015 Verizon IndyCar Series season with two top-five finishes and one win, yesterday in Detroit Race 2 (St. Petersburg, sixth; Long Beach, sixth, Alabama, eighth and Grand Prix of Indianapolis, fourth). At NOLA, he collected in an incident and finished 21st and placed 11th last week in the Indianapolis 500 to go with today’s 14th place finish.
